Everything You Need to Know About Sensitivity Math
Learn how game engine yaw multipliers work, how to preserve muscle memory, and how to calibrate your mouse settings.
How do I convert my Valorant sensitivity to Apex Legends?
To convert from Valorant to Apex Legends, multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.181818 (assuming identical mouse DPI). For example, if your sensitivity in Valorant is 0.35, your equivalent sensitivity in Apex Legends is 1.114.
Why can't I just use the same sensitivity number in Apex Legends?
Valorant uses an internal engine yaw multiplier of 0.07, while Apex Legends uses 0.022. Because the engines calculate view rotation angles differently per mouse hardware pulse (count), direct numerical copy-pasting will result in distorted muscle memory.
Where do I enter my converted sensitivity in Apex Legends?
mouse_sensitivity <value>. Alternatively, you can edit your config file located at: %USERPROFILE%/Saved Games/Respawn/Apex/profile/profile.cfg.
Does changing mouse DPI between Valorant and Apex Legends affect this?
Yes. If your DPI is different between the two games, the formula is: Target Sens = (Source Sens × 3.181818) × (Source DPI / Target DPI). You can check the 'Change Target DPI' option in our converter above to compute this automatically.
