Everything You Need to Know About Sensitivity Math
Learn how game engine yaw multipliers work, how to preserve muscle memory, and how to calibrate your mouse settings.
What is cm/360 and why does it matter?
cm/360 is the exact physical distance in centimeters that your mouse must move across your mousepad for your in-game view to rotate 360 degrees. It is the only universal, hardware-independent metric of mouse sensitivity.
How is cm/360 calculated mathematically?
Formula: cm/360 = 914.4 / (DPI × In-Game Sens × Game Yaw Multiplier). The 914.4 constant is derived from 360 degrees × 2.54 cm/inch.
What is the recommended cm/360 for competitive FPS?
For tactical shooters like Valorant and CS2: 35–55 cm/360. For tracking/arena shooters like Overwatch and Apex: 25–40 cm/360.
