Reference points around the typical RUST sensitivity of 0.35. cm/360 (how many centimeters you move the mouse for a full 360° turn) stays identical across both games — that is the whole point of the conversion. Table assumes the same mouse DPI on both games; use the converter above for cross-DPI conversion.
Step-by-Step In-Game Setup
- Open Valorant and navigate to:
In-Game: Settings -> General -> Mouse -> Sensitivity: Aim. - Paste your calculated sensitivity into the input box or in-game console.
- Verify your mouse polling rate (recommended 1000Hz or above) and ensure raw input is turned ON.
- Hop into our in-browser aim testing range below to verify flick muscle memory before queueing ranked!

Everything You Need to Know About Sensitivity Math
Learn how game engine yaw multipliers work, how to preserve muscle memory, and how to calibrate your mouse settings.
How do I convert my Rust sensitivity to Valorant?
To convert from Rust to Valorant, multiply your Rust sensitivity by 0.314286 (assuming identical mouse DPI). For example, if your sensitivity in Rust is 0.35, your equivalent sensitivity in Valorant is 0.110.
Why can't I just use the same sensitivity number in Valorant?
Rust uses an internal engine yaw multiplier of 0.022, while Valorant uses 0.07. Because the engines calculate view rotation angles differently per mouse hardware pulse (count), direct numerical copy-pasting will result in distorted muscle memory.
Where do I enter my converted sensitivity in Valorant?
In-Game: Settings -> General -> Mouse -> Sensitivity: Aim. Alternatively, you can edit your config file located at: Saved in cloud per Riot account.
Does changing mouse DPI between Rust and Valorant affect this?
Yes. If your DPI is different between the two games, the formula is: Target Sens = (Source Sens × 0.314286) × (Source DPI / Target DPI). You can check the 'Change Target DPI' option in our converter above to compute this automatically.
